Terms of Service
Draft — pending legal review. Not yet DocBuddy's effective terms.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using DocBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What DocBuddy is
DocBuddy is a medical education tool for practising clinical reasoning, question banks, spaced-repetition review and related study features. It is a study aid, not a clinical decision system: nothing in the product is intended to diagnose, treat, or give advice about a real patient, and it must not be relied on for real clinical care.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be old enough, under the law that applies to you, to agree to these terms on your own behalf.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access another user's account or data, reverse-engineering or scraping the question bank or content library, or entering identifying information about real patients where your institution does not permit it. See the data & privacy guidance for what "identifying" means in practice.
5. Subscriptions and billing
[ Placeholder — pricing, billing cycle, refund and cancellation terms to be finalised alongside the Phase 5 billing integration. Nothing in the product today charges a card on DocBuddy's behalf. ]
6. Content and intellectual property
The question bank, clinical cases, explanations and other materials in DocBuddy are owned by DocBuddy or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal study; you may not redistribute, resell, or publish them elsewhere.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
[ Placeholder — the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. A specific limitation-of-liability clause, appropriate to the jurisdiction DocBuddy actually operates in, needs to be drafted by counsel rather than assumed here. ]
8. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from Data & privacy. We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of DocBuddy after a change takes effect is acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the help centre. [ Placeholder — a registered company name and contact address belong here once they exist and are confirmed. ]
