- Adult
- ACS: 300 mg loading; secondary prevention: 75 mg OD
- Paediatric
- < 12 years: avoid (Reye syndrome risk)

- Active peptic ulcer
- Haemophilia
- Aspirin hypersensitivity
- Children < 12 (Reye syndrome)
Side effects
- GI bleeding
- Tinnitus (high doses)
- Bronchospasm in aspirin-sensitive asthma
Monitoring
- Monitor for GI bleeding
- Platelet function if overdose suspected
