Indications
- Mild-moderate pain
- Pyrexia
- OA (first-line analgesic)
Dosing
- Adult
- 1 g QDS (max 4 g/24h); IV: 1 g over 15 min QDS
- Paediatric
- Weight-based: 15 mg/kg QDS (max 60 mg/kg/day)

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity
- Severe hepatic impairment
Side effects
- Hepatotoxicity in overdose
- Rash (rare)
Monitoring
- LFTs if overdose suspected
Key interactions
- Warfarin (INR increase with regular use)
- Metoclopramide (increases paracetamol absorption)
